I will be heading down to Bowling Green, Kentucky today for the 341 Meeting of Creditors to be held with the Chapter 13 Trustee, and we will also be in front of US Bankruptcy Judge Judge Joan Lloyd for confirmations of Chapter 13 cases and the motion docket.
In the Bowling Green Division, the meeting of creditors and the confirmation docket are held on the same day.  The bar date for creditors to file proofs of claims is later, so if a proof of claim is filed after today, then it is often necessary to file motions to amend the order of confirmation to reflect any changes.
We will soon be doing confirmations and some of the motion dockets by video teleconference, with Judge Lloyd in Louisville and the attorneys appearing in Bowling Green.   This is already being done in the Owensboro division, and seems to be working well.  It will be new to some of us and may take awhile to get used to, but the reports sound good.  Change always brings positives and negatives, so we shall see.
